Welcome to the Crashing Angels Blog!

Here we can give you an update of who we are, where we’ve been and what we’re up to.

The Crashing Angels formed from the group Misdemeanor.  We decided to change our name when we realized the plethora of bands releasing albums under the same name.  Neil Park (guitar guy/composer) brought the new name to a rehearsal one night; and, needless to say, it went over quite well.  From there the art work/logo came up fairly quickly.  Things really seemed to gel between the group.  We went into Hyposonic and Greenhouse Studios where we recorded our first album “Crashing Angels”.

After a couple of years of playing that album and playing around with ideas for new material, we regrettably lost MMO; who is now playing in LA somewhere.  But as with any loss there was new growth in the band.  After playing years with two battling (but never clashing) guitar guru’s a different sound emerged.  Evermore powerful and prominent was Kent Bensen’s bass lines as he brought out the hooks, that much more.  Bert Boucher really brought the new stuff alive with his unique, ever-changing style.  The newer more aggressive style provoked many lyrical paradigms that spoke towards change.  Overall it became a more raw and true to our roots type of style that developed over the following couple of years.

Now we are back in the studio recording our next album “In The Rough”, due to be released in the New Year.  You can check out the new stuff by clicking on the audio link from our home page!
